Seven Random Things About Me

Hazel at The Clever Pup tagged me to make a list of seven random things about me. I like making lists, so here goes.

1. Sallymandy is my late grandfather's nickname for me.

2. I love butternut squash enchiladas.

3. My arches are so high that lizards can run under them (it happened once in Arizona).

4. I have seasonal affective disorder.

5. I have three pairs of Doc Martens shoes and boots.

6. I've been married for fifteen years.

7. That photo over there is my favorite scarf, which was a Christmas present two years ago.
Now I'll be finding seven other people to tag...but that's for another day. Good night!

  6. I would love to try a butternut squash enchilada. Squash is one of the most underappreciated foods I know.

  7. Hello dear,
I'm the other high-arched stepper. All those years in pointe-shoes. And yes, yes, yes, ANYTHING with butternut squash! Stay cozy up there in Montana. Thanks for your enthusiasm. It always makes me happy!

  9. Colour Me Happy: Thank you! I'll be over for a visit soon...

Protege: Yes, not only is it pretty but it's functional because it goes with everything. Re: the seasonal affective disorder, I think it's a fancy name for semi-hibernation. I use a light box about November-January and it fixes me right up.

Monica: thanks for visiting. Maybe I'll see a photo on your blog I can comment on since I can't read Romanian.

Red: I just might post that recipe. And then make some.

Hi Catherine: Thanks to you too! And Tina too: see note to Red.

  10. I LOVE the scarf! There's one good thing about winter and cold weather--getting to wrap things like that around your neck.
From my New England/Eastern US perspective, when you write about lizards running under your arches and squash enchiladas, you sound so Western and exotic.
