A brand new award created by me. Please find your name on the list.

valuedfolloweraward

This week finds me so busy that I am way behind in my blog reading.  Yes, I have more “work” work than I want, and I’m going to Idaho again this week on a business trip.  Still, it’s no one’s fault but my own that I’m behind.  I take on more things than I can reasonably accomplish.  Does anyone else have this problem?

To thank readers who visit here regularly, I made the award and graphic above.  You can post this on your blog, and pass it on to others if you’d like.

Here’s some text to go with it.

“This award is given especially to these readers.  Your visits and comments make me happy to be a blogger.  I learn from you, your comments, and your blogs more than I can say.

In the words of Voltaire, ‘Appreciation is a wonderful thing:  it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.’”

Here are my award recipients:

Protege, Moannie, Lola, Hazel at Clever Pup, Fhina, Belette, Kate at Newhouse Designs, Tina/Gal Friday, Saz, Profoundly Superficial,  Deja Pseu, Duchesse, Sparkling Red, Drollgirl, Ms Lucy, Kayleigh, Lilith, Catherine at A Thousand Clapping Hands, Modest Mom, Amy Corbin, Bethanais, Pyzahn, Marisa at Renaissance Chick, Erin at Woman in a Window, Kismet, Cynthia, Jennifer, Jennifer, Mervat, Sher, Michelle Jacobs, Cheryl, Clare, Shey, Sarah at Blogtastic, notSupermum, Penney, Lorna, Tessa, Suecae Sounds, Apriliniowa, Lakeviewer, Imogen at Inside Out Style, Maria at Colour Me Happy, Angela R., Lizzy Frizzfrock, marc aurel, Littlebyrd, Fragrant Liar, Purest Green, Marilynne, Tiffany, aims, Relyn, Pamela Terry, Stephanie N., Jane at Work That Wardrobe, Vicki Archer, Lenore, Ingrid M., The Seeker, Poetikat.

Thank you!

I am too very happy to be on your list. I found your quote of Voltaire to be striking, I wonder why I never heard them before. I will post this on my blog asap. :)

Aww, thanks, Sallymandy!

I think we all know what you mean about taking on more thangs than we can reasonably accomplish. Case in point: When I started blogging, it was a means to help simplify my life: By blogging about noteworthy or amusing events in my daily life on my friends/family blog, and by reading friends' blogs that had been created for the same reason, I could better keep in touch with them from afar than I had been doing by e-mail and phone. But blogging has expanded into a major hobby for me, with the addition of two more blogs to maintain, and dozens more blogs to read. And so I keep asking myself, how am I going to keep this up? And that's just blogging. But as you say, "it's no one's fault but my own that I'm behind." I think I'll be working on my time-management skills for the rest of my life.

Am I right to assume that "Angela R." refers to me?!?! If not, it's OK, I still love your blog and will visit often, anyway!
:0)
I hope you have a safe, productive and delightful trip.

Thank you for this acknowledgement. It seems a trifling thing, but it is really nice to be recognized for maintaining a connection. I follow far too many blogs for my own good and it's not always easy to keep up with the prolific, stellar work of all of them - especially as they are of all different sorts and topics and mind-sets.

I do so enjoy visiting you Sallymandy - your blog is articulate, perceptive, enjoyable and enlightening. That's what keeps us coming back. I owe a debt of thanks to Clever Pup for introducing me to you.

Thanks so much!

Kat

Following your blog is one of the best parts of blogging! Plus getting to know you through your brilliant writing is so enriching.

I'm so happy and honored to be on your list, I will display my award proudly. Ciao and have a great trip.

PS: Re blog-time management, I take 2/3 hours from my sleep and invest them in posting/reading/commenting every night after dinner. I post 4/5 times a week and I try to keep up as much as I can after work, mothering and trying to live a normal life. I've also decided it's time to start dating again! ...Pant! Pant! Huff! Huff! Har! Har! ...help!

I see I'm following myself here. Hah! Now I have one for YOU!

Thank you, sallymandy!
I spotted my name in the list. :-)

How kind of you to think to do this on your blog, as busy as you are at the moment.

I am in much the same situation at the moment, having taken a little blog writing break(but not for long) and having to catch up when I can with my favorite blogs(as I am doing today).
Work has gotten busy, and when I am not at my job, I am *slightly* obsessed currently with puttering around in my yard/garden and trying to revamp my tired looking rooms inside.
