I do so agree with that. I shrivel inside everytime I read a piece from some self-declared expert, who pompously declares that...conker games should be banned, children's playgrounds covered in a foot of rubber, helmets to be worn on tricycles, snow never to be thrown and on and on ad infinitum.
As kids my brothers and I ran free between meals...we roamed, climbed, jumped, slid, threw and dug, we fished with bent pins on string, clamboured over bomb sites [even finding an unexploded mortar bobm that we knew better than to touch] We breathed fresh air and bacteria, stored up anti-bodies and were rosy cheeked and healthy.
What spoil sports these experts are, what treasured memories they are stealing in the name of the NANNY STATE.

I love the elegance of your blog site.

Wonderful quote that speaks volumes to me, as you know my favorite one includes "...life being an adventure to be lived."
You were definitely very cute and still are.;)
Have a great weekend.;))
