a girl after my own heart/shoes....bags do it for me...great to see a vintie post..as I am suffering from withdrawal...as my site is being made over. I have run Saras attic since 2002 and this is the first time its been static and unselling since..I am having fun souring new stock, and then I have take some great pics..which reminds me thank you to get on with it soon!!
Those go-go boots are calling my name! BTW: I have brought up your "montana economy" post in conversation probably 5 times in the past few days. I actually laughed outloud at my desk when I read your "sample" non-profit job posting! So true, sister, so true...
Lots of great picks here! Shoes online have always been iffy for me. I only buy brands whose fit I know and even then have had to return a few, or in the case of eBay, just write them off. But if you get a fit, major bargains.
Oh, how I love shoes! Great post with some really CUTE shoes! I have been shopping like crazy this summer at Vegan Chic http://www.veganchic.com. I love their selection and they have handbags too...another addiction! Thanks for sharing some cute options!
I am a huge fan of vintage clothing and shoes and even modern versions based on vintage designs. I think I was born at the wrong time! I especially love seventies shoes - all wooden platforms and leather. When I was in my late teens I went through a sixties phase, wearing all my mom's old jackets and dresses from that era that she'd saved in the attic. I still love dresses in bright fabrics from the late '60s/early '70s. I figure if I ever have a corporate - or other job where I'm required to be super smart - again, I'd love to wear shows like the second pair up there to work. There's something smart, buttoned up, yet sexy about them. Otherwise I'm all about the wedges, platforms etc. of the 1970s. In fact, it's sort of disappointing that they're so "in" this year because I feel everyone's wearing them now. Hey, I should learn to share, right!?
I think the votes are in for the lavender Ropers and the wooden heeled clogs.
Confession: this Etsy seller is my sister, and she has a very keen eye for what young women on the coasts and even in Japan are buying. She's one in a million sellers. I love to hype up her store, and of course I love to shop with her at her hidey holes in central Montana.
I am so sad - I had my eye on those fabulous aqua numbers, but your sis doesn't post to Australia (for good reasons that she was kind enough to explain to me) ... It was fun looking at them all anyway!!!

OMG! I had a pair of the wooden platform shoes just like the ones in your post! That brought back some memories.
Love your funky blue shoes btw.

Oh my stars - I remember a lot of those shoes!
My fave here are the lavender orchid Roper boots - those I have never seen before! Very interesting!
There's at least 4 pairs there for me. I love vintage clothing, especially shoes.
I must visit this Etsy seller...
Ciao and have a good weekend!

I want them all!!!
the fourth pair is my favorite!
I had the leather clogs. But now I would love to have those black suede pumps.
Fun! But I think it's funny (or am I too crabby) that plastic shoes, which my mother told me NOT to wear, are now classed as vegan.
What cool shoes! I love those lavender Roper boots!!!
I just took the plunge and opened an Etsy shop!!! FashionismyMuse.etsy.com
It was a huge leap for me and I haven't sorted out Paypal or the shipping parts yet, but it was exciting.
I had similar clogs double as weapons...mine was quite heavy...better suited as a door stopper! Great weekend dear!

I was thinking those pink boots were pretty 'til I saw those grunge boots. Those boots are so totally mine!

Some great shoes there! I love the lavender boots!
Those lavender orchid Roper boots are about as wild as it gets. I can only imagine grocery shopping in Iowa in those fierce boots...

Also love the Roper boots -- but Vegan boots. Now that's just too cool.

Thanks for visiting, all you retro babes.
