Indeed. Always. Daily...even hourly. Why oh why can't I just give up the rest of my life and spend happy, hilarious, heartwarming, awe-inspiring days travelling through blogland?

Don't worry, Sallymandy, I think all of us totally understand. Some weeks things just get hectic, don't they?

Oh, yeah. Except that mine stems more from tardy posting. I spend an absurd amount of time reading and commenting on others' blogs, and meanwhile, my own get delayed by weeks or months. It's embarrassing.

OH, I know that feeling - it is like a massive cloud hanging over you, and the cloud gets bigger and bigger with each passing day! Shivers!

Actually, I'm pretty sure it happens to all of us. We just have to remember the main reason we all started blogging- which was to share that which we choose to, and to read that which we want..no guilt. It wasn't supposed to be another deadline thing or another stressful event...but, honestly, I have to constantly remind myself of this before it becomes another stressful compulsion! Your posts always have me reflecting Sallymandy- they're great! Thanks:)

Pant! Pant! Har!! Har!! I'm reading as fast as I can, but every day, I'm always 9 days behind!!!

Love the guiltfree link, btw...

Wait a minute, GUILT? Are we serious?

Yeah, it happens often to me. But I'm somewhat aware of my guilt complex so I try to intentionally reduce the guilt tripping I play on myself.

It is interesting that we, or at least I, manage to create many "must" and "have to", out of something that should be completely different.

Crazy.

Oh yeah. These last few months I have often had to make the choice between writing something for my blog or reading/commenting on others but not time for both. I do feel guilty when I've posted and recieved comments and haven't had the time to respond or catch up with others.

Constantly! It seems to be part of the human condition. The more advanced we become the more there is to occupy our attention and the further behind we fall.

It is easier for me to justify rationally than emotionally.

Yes, and no. I'm frustrated when I can't spend mucho time reading other blogs...but...I also have days when I feel like my love for the blogosphere is a scary addiction.

We can't do it all! I promise myself that I will post when I can and not when I feel I should. I try and read all my favourites and leave time to explore new blogs because that is what keeps blogging fresh and exciting. Guilt: never because that is the joy of blogging...self-employment and no deadlines! xv

OMG, I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one, lol!

Yes, I confess -- I totally have blogger's guilt...most especially when I don't comment back on my reader's lovely, heartfelt comments (like yours!)

It's like when you're late with a thank you note...you really did appreciate the thoughtfullness of the gift or gesture but time goes by and then you start to wonder if it's too late.

But I think in the end it's never too late to say thank you, or to let someone know that a comment or post meant something to you.

I agree with Pyzahn. I feel guilty for not responding to every comment left on my blog, and for not writing a new blog post at least once a week. I really do love 'speaking' with people around the globe that I'd never otherwise get to meet. But then, when I'm away from my computer, like when I took a 5 day trip to Seattle recently, I have to confess I am so glad to be getting a break from the blogging world!

Hmmm. This is the only area of my life where I DON'T feel guilt. That's why I like it.

Lucy: You summed up just how I feel.

Frugal and Amazing Sarah: good for you.

Thanks all of you. I have a great book to share soon that addresses this guilt thing and maybe can encourage all of us.

Oh, heck yeah. And, I almost didn't write a post for my blog today and the guilt was just tooo much. I don't do guilt a lot in my life anymore but guilt does definitely hit me when I have missed reading, commenting and blogging.

Sallymandy, No Guilt, No Way! (Okay, yeah I do, sometimes, myself.) BUT, as far as you should know from THIS reader: I love to read you when there is a post, and look forward to your next when there's not. And, always wish you well.

I think we shouldn't feel any guilt. Blogging should be something relaxing, funny, insightful, debating opinions, but never guilt.
Well... this is what I think, but think is one thing and feel is another (by the way do you know about the debate that is around the word "I think so I am!" that should be "I feel so I am!").
YES; YES, YES, I FEEL MANY GUILT!!!!!
Sometimes I want to regain my time, because some evenings what I just do is reading and commenting blogs, with the handicap that I'm not an english spoken and I have to read slowly sometimes to understand what a word mean, it's not so linear. And the comments when I need some words and I don't remember how to say or how to write.
It's soooooooo time consuming, but also has a lot of great things!!!!
There are some links that are made with some great people, like you my dear.

Love you.
(And forgive me for not be here all posts)

OMG -- yes. Everyday I do try to make it a point to open all the blogs I want to read, minimize them and slowly make my way through them. I must admit that sometimes work does get in the way (lol).

I just don't have the time to read every blog every day...I try to catch up once a week and comment on the posts that catch my eye. I am always eternally grateful for comments.

Why can't I live a life of luxury and do nothing but blog and read all day? Why must I work??

I miss you all so much when not reading and writing. I'm not great in multi-tasking as some are.
Thinking bout you always,

Such interesting thoughts. Why do we do this to ourselves? I'm glad that a few readers say they don't get blogger's guilt. I want to emulate YOU!
